Doune Bay, Knoydart

Welcome to Doune

A holiday at Doune is unlike any other. Mountains, wildlife, tranquillity, marvellous food and stunning sunsets combine for a unique adventure and enduring memories.

Set amongst the magnificent coastal scenery of the Scottish Hebrides, Doune is on the Western shore of the Knoydart peninsula - one of Europe's last wild places. Remote and peaceful, there is no road so we collect our guests from Mallaig in one of our own boats.

There are sweet smelling pine clad ensuite rooms for couples or small families and a fantastic purpose built lodge for larger families and groups. You will find a happy, friendly atmosphere and lots of personal touches, you won't find TVs or trouser presses. Enjoy five star food at two star prices in the highly acclaimed Doune Dining Room. This is real food, truly local with full fresh flavours, complimented by a varied wine list and local beers at sensible prices.

Relax and unwind or get active. There is fabulous walking, wildlife, diving and sailing - our boats Gripper, Mary Doune and Eda Frandsen are the key.

We live at Doune and love it. It's a totally different way of life and we invite you to share it with us. Welcome.
