Hyskeir lighthouse

 

Mary Doune has a single cabin forward, with 6 guest berths. The deckhouse, has a well equipped galley, seating for 6 guests and a dining table, which is taken outside for meals in the open air during good weather. Aft of the deckhouse, is a toilet and shower compartment, with hot and cold water.
Out on deck ( 2/3 of which is covered by a canopy) there is seating for 6.

If staying aboard Mary Doune for a cruise, you will need the following:

A sleeping bag, (we supply a pillow)
A towel.
In addition to warm comfortable clothing, we would suggest,
Fleece or warm jumper, warm jacket etc. and a warm hat
If you want to go exploring, we recommend a pair of wellies or walking boots
Seasick pills/sea bands if you want them
Suntan lotion and sunglasses
Swimsuit (optional)
Insect repellant
Toilet bag, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc
Waterproofs
The boat has lifejackets for everyone.
All in SOFT holdall or bag please;- no hard suitcases, frame rucksacs etc.

 

Bring extra batteries for video cameras. We do have 12v dc and 240v ac for battery charging only.

We supply all meals and hot drinks, with lots of home baking, but do bring sweets and pop and booze if you want.

 

Please let us know if you are taking any medication and bring sufficient supply.
Please let us know of any special diets in advance.
Joining is normally at 4.00pm on Saturday.
Leaving is on the following Friday late afternoon for cruises, and Saturday about mid-morning for shorebased holidays, unless you need to get away earlier.
