Activities
Mary DouneFirst and foremost, Doune is a place to relax and unwind, but we also offer excellent facilities for various pursuits. Our boats are the key to these activities.
Our fast charter boat, Mary Doune was purpose built to carry twelve guests on day trips and can be reserved by parties using Doune Bay Lodge for diving , wildlife watching, photography, island hopping and hillwalking. Fast, seaworthy and highly maneouvrable, Mary Doune was designed for use in the Hebrides and especially for getting to those beautiful places which are inaccessible in any other way. With a speed of 18 knots, passages are short and there is plenty of time to explore and relax.

Each year we host several varied theme weeks. Each run by experts in their subject. These may include photography, wildlife, hillwalking, island hopping, painting and lace making.
For these special interest weeks, the Lodge is used by up to 6 individual guests. These holidays are fully catered.

minkeGuests at Doune get to see a wide variety of wildlife at close quarters, from whales, dolphins and basking sharks to red deer, eagles and otters. If you would like to find out more about what we see, take our Hebridean wildlife tour.
