With reduced Covid infections, the Scottish Government has eased restrictions enabling tourist businesses and hotels to start welcoming guests. The good news is that we feel able to open safely starting from 1 August until the end of our season on 3 October. However, given the need to maintain precautions while the pandemic is still active, we will be restricting opening to the Stone Lodges and Bothy only. This will allow safe social distancing throughout Doune. Use of the dining room will be limited to guests staying at Doune only. For the moment, Doune Bay Lodge will stay closed for group holidays.
You can check dates for visiting on our site, however please call or email if you wish to make a booking. Because of the Covid situation, we’ve waived our normal booking conditions so will not be asking for deposits.
BOOKING YOUR VISIT
For 2020, we'll be open from 4 April to 2 October. Because of our remote location and access by boat from Mallaig, changeovers are limited to Saturdays and Tuesdays. Bookings can be made for 3 nights (Saturday to Tuesday), 4 nights (Tuesdays to Saturdays) or 7 nights (Saturday-Saturday or Tuesday-Tuesday). Our boat, Gripper, will collect you from Mallaig. All prices quoted are full-board including: bed. brealfast, dinner and pack lunches. There are discounted rates for accompanying children sharing a room with their parents.
The Bothy is a delightful room at the end of the restaurant building. Light and airy and brightly furnished, the room has a comfortable single bed which can be converted to twin beds if required. There is a washhand basin in the room and and a shower and toilets are just next door.
